The ‘Kata Beach Resort and Spa’ will host the Second Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Council for Juvenile Justice. This four-star hotel, located on the popular Kata Beach in Phuket, is designed in Contemporary Asian style, with complete facilities. Meeting rooms and vast halls are provided with full equipment for the purposes of the Second Meeting.
From Phuket International Airport various transportation services are available, including public taxis, limousine and minibus services, and an airport bus.
Public Taxi Service:
A metered taxi stand is located outside of the Phuket airport main terminal building on the far right as you exit the terminal. The average fare from Phuket airport to Kata/Karon is 600 baht plus a 100 baht airport surcharge. The trip will usually take approximately one hour.
Minibus and Limousine Service:
Several companies provide limousine and minibus services at Phuket airport. Service counters are located outside on the arrivals level. Fixed price lists are available for private limousine, private minibus and shared minibus transfers.
From Phuket Town, it is possible to take a small open air bus to Kata for 30 baht (as of 30/09/2012). Buses leave from the old bus terminal number one, as well as from west of the Day Market on Ranong Street.
Note: Buses will initially pass through Kata and make their first stop at the nearby Karon Beach. They then go back to Kata.
